Electronics & Adhesives: Peel Mechanics
The Physics of Adhesion
In the electronics industry, "Peel Strength" determines the user experience.
- Screen Protectors: Require a consistent "Low Peel Force" (easy to remove, no residue).
- Optical Adhesives (OCA): Require "High Shear Strength" to prevent bubbles.
Why 90° Peel? (ASTM D3330 Method F)
For rigid substrates (like glass screens), the 90° Peel Test is superior to 180°. It maintains a constant peel angle using a Floating Roller Fixture.
KHT WDL Series Advantage:
The WDL-05 captures the "Average Force" (ignoring the initial peak) to calculate the true peel strength in N/25mm. Its 0.5 Class Accuracy is vital for release liners where forces are often below 1N, requiring high signal-to-noise ratio sensors.
